We're pleased to announce that our client, Whitbread, has secured planning approval for a new 9-storey hotel, featuring 229 bedrooms, on the site of the former Clerys department store warehouse in Dublin. Influenced by the city's architectural heritage, our design incorporates a brickwork façade inspired by Dublin's historic warehouses, reflecting the diverse brickwork styles within the O’Connell Street Architectural Conservation Area.
Sustainability has been a central element of our design approach, demonstrated here by the inclusion of green roof terraces and photovoltaic arrays. The building has been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating – an internationally recognised sustainability accreditation. We take immense pride in being part of the growth of the Premier Inn brand in Ireland.
This project signifies a significant investment by Whitbread, underlining their commitment to Dublin's future and the ongoing expansion of the Premier Inn brand across Ireland.
