Following a four month build by Triton Construction for Premier Inn, the extension at Doncaster’s Lakeside hotel is now complete and we are delighted with the result.
The extension is a 55 bedroom stand-alone annex building.The hotel annex building fronts the roundabout at the gateway to Doncaster Lakeside retail development and football stadium.
The striking design of the annex reflects the prominence of this corner site and addressed the local authority planning requirement to create a landmark building, while retaining a materials palette in harmony with the existing hotel site.
Allison Pike have a long-standing relationship with Whitbread-owned Premier Inn - working closely on their northern extension programme over a number of years. Following previous extensions overseen by ourselves, there are now nearly 120 Premier Inn bedrooms at Doncaster Lakeside.
