Allison Pike have recently completed the implementation of part of a programme of new Kitchen Breakfast Rooms in 3 Premier Inn ‘COLO’ sites where there was no food offering within the hotel itself. All are located on sites with a remote, non-Whitbread restaurant and the brief came from the requirement to offer guests a ‘Premier Inn’ breakfast within the hotel building. Typically the facility takes the space of 3 bedrooms and links to the ground floor reception.
Interior design of the concept was evolved by Allison Pike and it provides a contemporary 32 cover dining area linked to an open pass kitchen, with a mix of fixed and loose furniture, both regular and mid-height. Bespoke designs were evolved for the herringbone ‘pleat’ feature floor that sits within a planked oak design, with carefully selected retro style metal chairs and stools, feature pendant lights and the quirky Scrabble inspired letter tiles and internal signage. A custom designed buffet counter features in every Kitchen breakfast room with its stylish ergonomic design housing coffee, tea, toasters, cutlery and crockery.
