While identifying that the site was in need of a refurbishment the client was keen to preserve and enhance some of the characteristics that have given the pub its popularity, while broadening its appeal and flexibility.
Built by Hydes Brewery before WW2 this project involved the conversion of a 1938 listed building, a rare well preserved example of a new build pub of that era.
Divided into three distinct rooms: lounge, smoke room and vault the individual character of each space has been preserved and enhanced. This has created distinct authentic customer zones in this community based local pub.
