At the end of November one of the original founding directors, Greg Pike, retired from the business after nearly 32 years. Starting as a partnership in 1984 at Greg’s house in Mellor Allison Pike has developed and grown over the years, incorporating in 1999 and currently sized at around 25 people based at the Disley offices.
The practice organised a celebration in Manchester on 27th November for past colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors, with a buffet lunch at the Albert Square Chop House, located in Manchester’s city centre, moving on to a couple of legendary Manchester pubs, the Peveril of the Peak and the Briton’s Protection.
Co-directors John Bray and Mark Allison spoke of their experiences and memories of working with Greg before the man himself gave a talk with some reflections on his working life, including earlier experiences since college at Dry Halasz Dixon and later at Michael Hyde and Associates.
A great turnout ensured a memorable and very personal event that everyone there will remember.
The photo above shows Greg with the three remaining directors, John Bray, Chris Gill and Mark Allison at the practice’s 30th Anniversary Celebrations held in July 2014.
